Gran Torino
Walt Kowalski is a widower who holds onto his prejudices despite the changes in his Michigan neighborhood and the world around him. Walt is a grumpy, tough-minded, unhappy old man, who can't get along with either his kids or his neighbors. He is a Korean War veteran whose prize possession is a 1972 Gran Torino he keeps in mint condition. Drawn against his will into the life of Thao's family, Walt is soon taking steps to protect them from the gangs that infest their neighborhood. This is a tremendous film with an outstanding performance by Eastwood.

This BBC version is the most faithful to the book by James Fennimore Cooper.

Second in Command
An official has just been appointed as Second in Command to the U.S.Ambassador at an American Embassy in a small, turbulent Eastern European nation. When local insurgents attempt a coup d'etat, the nation's President takes refuge inside the embassy. This is a better than average Jean-Claude Van Damme movie.

Unbeknownst to Lester, George is sleeping with his wife, his mistress and his teenage daughter. “Beatty says he approached Towne to do a modern version of the classic restoration comedy called The Country Wife… Here in the updated "Shampoo", Beatty and Towne make the hero an assumed-to-be-gay hairdresser (instead of impotent) and the results are inspired bedroom farce mixed with social satire.”—imdb.com
