The Call (R) 
Jordan Turner is an experienced 911 operator but when she makes an error in judgment and a call ends badly, Jordan is rattled and unsure if she can continue. But then teenager Casey Welson is abducted in the back of a man's car and calls 911. And Jordan is the one called upon to use all of her experience, insights and quick thinking to help Casey escape, and not just to save Casey, but to make sure the man is brought to justice
New Tricks: Season 9 (NR)  
For eight years, the old dogs of the Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad – veteran detectives Jack Halford, Brian Lane, and Gerry Standing – have been a close-knit team.  Led by Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman, their beautiful, younger boss, they have solved cold cases with classic policing skills and easy camaraderie.  Then Jack drops a bombshell: he’s quitting.  Retiring.  And this time, he means it.  Before long, Sandra finds a replacement in retired detective Steve McAndrew.  A chatty, enthusiastic Scot, Steve treads on toes but gives the hit British series a “charm injection.”  Season 9 guest stars include James Wilby, Sharon Small, and Tim McInnerny as intelligence agent Stephen Fisher. 
Vexed: Series 2 (NR) 
 Two detectives; one is cynical and over sexed, the other an asset to the profession. Their unbalanced partnership gets them through a series of strange cases almost smoothly. While managing work life, they have to manage each other and their personal lives.

Gangster Squad (R)
It's 1949 Los Angeles, and gangster Mickey Cohen has moved in, with the intention of controlling all criminal activity in the city. He has bought local judges and police, and no one is willing to cross him or testify against him. Everyone except Seargant John O'Mara, a former World War II soldier, whose goal is to settle with his family in a peaceful Los Angeles.

Phantom (2013) (R)
'Ed Harris' plays the captain of a Cold War Soviet missile submarine who has secretly been suffering from seizures that alter his perception of reality. Forced to leave his wife and daughter, he is rushed into a classified mission, where he is haunted by his past and challenged by a rogue KGB group (led by David Duchovny) bent on seizing control of the ship's nuclear missile. With the fate of humanity in his hands, Harris discovers he's been chosen for this mission in the belief he would fail.
Quartet (2012) (PG-13)
Cecily, Reggie, and Wilfred are in a home for retired musicians. Every year, on October 10, there is a concert to celebrate Verdi's birthday and they take part. Jean, who used to be married to Reggie, arrives at the home and disrupts their equilibrium. She still acts like a diva, but she refuses to sing. Still, the show must go on... and it does.


Side Effects (2013) (R)
Emily Taylor, despite being reunited with her husband from prison, becomes severely depressed with emotional episodes and suicide attempts. Her psychiatrist, Jonathan Banks, after conferring with her previous doctor, eventually prescribes an experimental new medication called Ablixa. The plot thickens when the side effects of the drug lead to Emily killing her husband in a "sleepwalking" state. With Emily plea-bargained into mental hospital confinement and Dr. Banks' practice crumbling around him, the case seems closed. However, Dr. Banks cannot accept full responsibility and investigates to clear his name.

Stoker (R)
After India's father dies, her Uncle Charlie, who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her unstable mother. She comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives and becomes increasingly infatuated with him.

 


Upside Down (PG-13)
Adam and Eden fell in love as teens despite the fact that they live on twinned worlds with gravities that pull in opposite directions. Ten years after a forced separation, Adam sets out on a dangerous quest to reconnect with his love.

921 O’CONNOR   Remembering the Founder of the Voorheesville Village Quilters  (Local History)
Long time Voorheesville resident Linda O’Connor who founded the Voorheesville Quilters, died suddenly at the age of 75 in June 2012.  Her contributions to the art of quilting are surpassed only by her enduring friendships and teaching abilities.  Part 1: Linda’s life and abilities are remembered in her own words.  Part 2: Eight of Linda’s friends and fellow quilters tell vivid stories about Linda and how she influenced them and their quilting.
