New last week (10/19/11):

Bad Teacher
Elizabeth is a foul-mouthed, ruthless junior high teacher who can't wait to marry her meal ticket and get out of her bogus day job. When she's dumped by her fiance, she begins to woo a rich, handsome substitute. Competing for his affections is overly energetic colleague, Amy. Elizabeth also finds herself fighting off the advances of a sarcastic gym teacher. The consequences of her outrageous schemes give her students, her coworkers and herself an education like no other.

Bored to Death, the Complete Second Season
When we last dropped in on Jonathan Ames – New York writer, romantic, unlicensed private detective – he was taking a pounding in the boxing ring while still licking his (more painful) breakup wounds. Now that his second novel has been completed (and rejected), Jonathan is augmenting his income by moonlighting as a creative-writing teacher, while taking on some new, desperate clients, ranging from a kinky policeman to the publishing rival of his sexagenarian pal, George Christopher. How he solves anything is a mystery.

In a Better World
The lives of two Danish families will become entwined when their sons develop an extraordinary but risky friendship. Unfortunately, loneliness, frailty, and sorrow lie in wait.

The Names of Love
Baya (Sara Forestier) is a young, extroverted liberal who lives by the old hippie slogan 'Make love, not war'. She seduces right-wing men to convert them to her political causes - and so far she's gotten exceptional results. That is, until she meets Arthur (Jacques Gamblin), a middle-aged, middle-of-the road scientist, and the sparks fly. A smart, sexy romantic comedy.

Page One: Inside the New York Times
Behind-the-scenes look at the New York Times newsroom as the paper struggles to stay vital in an increasingly digital news world.

Submarine
Young Oliver Tate's coming of age is coming even sooner than expected. Prone to daydreaming, listening to French crooners, and indulging other self-absorbed fantasies, Oliver suddenly finds himself submerged in real-life, dual challenges, plotting to lose his virginity with a quirky new girlfriend while also struggling to reconcile his parents' marriage, even though his mom seems smitten with the self-help guru next door.

Terri
Life is in session in the year's biggest Sundance hit. Social outcast Terri is stuck caring for his uncle and trying to survive high school. He feels disconnected until his wildly unconventional Vice Principal inspires him to reach out. Now with the help of beautiful misfit Heather, Terri discovers he doesn't have to fit in to belong.

The Tree of Life
The impressionistic story of a Texas family in the 1950s, the film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father.

The Trip
When Steve Coogan is asked by The Observer to tour the country's finest restaurants, he envisions it as the perfect getaway with his beautiful girlfriend. But when she backs out on him, he has no one to accompany him but his best friend and source of eternal aggravation, Rob Brydon.
